Default boat rentals in Harkers Isl. area?

Had a great time fishing for albies this past Nov. from shore down there, but really want to do it from a boat instead. Debating whether to trailer my 18' Wellcraft down from RI this year, or rent a boat in the area. Couldn't find much info for boat rentals in the area.

Anyone have contact info for any boat rental places around Harkers/Morehead/Atlantic Beach?

Thanks,
Tim

Causeway marina on AB rents Carolina Skiff I think. I'm sure there are some other places but this is the only one I'm familiar with.

For what it would cost you to trailer it from RI I think you could hire a guide.

Appreciate the info. I had found the info about the CS rentals, but was hoping for a more comfortable rental boat.

Not sure how chartering would save me money; if charters run around $400/day like they do up here, that's over $3K (including tips) for daily rentals for the week (assuming good weather each day).

Anyway, there's a group of us coming down, and having a boat would allow a few of us to get off the spit every day and have a better shot at the albies.

You would probably be better off trailering. Causeway marina will not let you get out the inlet. You may call some of the local marinas. Barbours Harbor 252-728-6181, Calico Jacks 252-728-3575, or Harkers Island Fishing Center 252-728-3907.

I was thinking a single day charter, didn't realize you'd want it the whole week. Yea, you would be better off trailering.
