Default volvo penta gas?
can someone give me their experiences with volvo penta gas engines. considering buying a boat with 5.7L VP GXI 280hp engines.

When you get down to it, its a 350 chevy. I've had no issues other than they wear out anywhere from 1k to 2k hrs, your mileage may vary. Volvo od's are tops.

Great Engines especially if used with their duo-prop outdrives. When properly maintained the gas milage will be better than a 4 stroke

So far, so good, 3 yrs on a 5.0 GXi Volvo with DP drive
