Any Good Reports? - The Hull Truth

Well.... wondering if anyone has any good news, Heading out to Morehead in the morn. looks like good weather the next few days but havent heard much on the BITE.... Prepared for most anything that may come our way, may end up at the BIG ROCK, would like to get my first BFT but it hasnt sounded so good the last few days. Stripers havent been so well so have my fingers crossed, Im starting the new year off with a pace I hope will last the year......not much work and hopefully some decent fishing! Will have the laptop with me so I post whats Happening, and hope everyone had a Happy New Year!

did any of the boats on the west side of cape lookout chatch any rocks? we had a hard time chatching the rocks on the east side. did see about a10 fish go in the boats. we had 1at was 42in by 23in 34lbs to shad in her,no roe ..............going after the tunas on sun,big ten little ten so been seen there see ya out there tuna belly.....................

Fished for three days, anywhere from 0-5 miles south and west of the shole off the cape. Nothing. Very depressing to say the least Burnt allot of gas. Went to the east side one day, nothing. Very depressing to say the least. Burnt allot of gas. Much different than last year. Will try again next week, hopefully.

Try DTH, you might have better luck

Stripers and Bluefin fishing have been scattered from everything I heard on new years eve. Heard of some yellowfin, wahoo, kings and blackfin when I was out at AR 302. I had no luck tolling, but the bottom fishing was very good. I drift fish the bottom and it can be a little tricky, but I cover alot of ground to find what I'm looking for.... Triggers, porgies, and beeliners are what I was getting... I'll be closer to shore on monday looking for stripers and bluefin if they pop up near on the west side of the shoals...

FINALLY GOT THE 3 DAY OLD -NO FISH-MONKEY OFF OUR BACK FRIDAY WITH THE RESURGENCE OF THE GIANTS..........THE TSUNAMI ALONG WITH THE FULL MOON ON MONDAY TRIGGERED LOCK JAW ...AROUND THE WORLD...........LARGEST FRIDAY APPX 93......AND HARVESTED ONE 89 THIS MORNING.........

YEP, Im here getting my act together and went down to the fish house and there were a good bit of fish weighed the, BFT bite should be on, cloudy nites means no feeding at night so next few days should be good for the am. Heading out in the morn post later............

Started at the Rise*& then onto*Big Rock last Thursday .....*2 wahoo & 1 Yellowfin ..... bunch of Kings at BR. Terrific weather for this time of the year. Cheers
