There is one right off Rt 70 before the Causeway Bridge to Atlantic Beach. Look for the Welcome Center and I believe it's right before that.

It is actually at the welcome center. Coming from the west the hospital will be on your left just before the welcome center on the right. Lot of current and boat wakes bouncing you on the trailer when it's busy. Also some very good ramps next to the menhaden plant on Front Street in Beaufort. I think both are WRC maintained.

There is also the anchorage marina across the bridge. $10.00 nice people, they also have slips for rent.

If you have any military affiliation you can use the AB coast guard station ramp ... can't beat the location!

Airport Marina, Beaufort - free and close to inlet without going through no wake zone at turning basin.

I have the same question. Didn't realize we could use the ramp.

Yeah -- they are super nice and it's a little known and never advertised benny ... they have a "lot" where you can park and the nicest ramp I've used in a while. Plus a freshwater hose and a small exchange. You literally swing the corner and you're in the inlet!

Plus, if you hang out and chat with the guys workin the ops center for a bit, you can tell them where you're going and what time you'll be back. I actually had them call me on the VHF one evening when I was running a few hours late (Guess it was a slow day).

The only downside is that they put in and pull out large zodiac type boats so on ocassion you may have to wait. It also really helps to have DOD stickers on your car for the gate.

Drop me a line if you want the phone number.
