Mark,

Thanks for the kind words, IIRC dinner wasn't to bad that night either.

Folks, this is a special place we are willing to share while we are traveling.

My wife and I enjoyed a much needed getaway at Huntersun's place this past weekend. We were blown away by this property. They have done a great job making this place feel like home. My wife and I are currently trying to find a way to make this our home away from home. It is very private setting, and is a perfect location for fishing, hunting, or just relaxing. We had the privilege to meet the owners and they were very helpful with advice, directions, and tips that made our trip an unforgettable experience. I will be returning very soon, and I hope that somehow my wife and I are able to make this our home one day. If anyone needs a place to getaway, I highly recommended this property.

Thanks,

Ross and Stephanie

Hey Ross & Stephanie,

Thanks for the kind words, we are very glad you folks got a much needed relaxing getaway. Look forward to seeing you in June (11th-14th).

Ross forgot to mention the Drum he caught off the pier or the clams he and Stephanie raked up for appetizers, it's all good......

Thanks,

Dwayne & Linda

Cottage is off the rental market.

Thanks folks for your interest, we have leased the cottage long term this AM as of June 11th. All rentals prior to this date still apply.

We have found a great young couple who will enjoy and care for our little piece of paradise while we continue to live aboard and travel.

Again, thanks for the kind words and interest.

Dwayne

Good to hear you rented it. I've seen your property several times from a distance, GREAT spot!!! Always wondered who lived there.

The area here is called the "Original Downeast" for a reason, a long history that y'all might find interesting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Down_East_(North_Carolina)

We have the largest farm east of the Mississippi, 45,000 acres (Open Grounds Farms). There's also 56 miles of National Seashore. The best thing about here is "you can't git here from thar".

Update 04/25/12

Our cottage will be available on June 15th 2012.

We prefer long term (year lease) but will do short term, 3 day, weekly and monthly.

Note: Our landscaping and dock were rearanged last fall from huricane Irene, we should have the dock finished shortly.

Please call or email with any questions.

Thank,
Dwayne
