Matt just thought I would post a pic for you!! Remember that bean field I showed you when you picked me up last weekend and I told you I had a stand a few hundred yds from it. Well want a little Venison with that Wahoo. I harvested this 8pt today around 5:30 this afternoon.

Mark, that is awesome. Congrats, he is nice! A definite NC trophy with a bow! BTW, how wide is he? Looks like he's got some height and good mass to go along with the width.

I'm going to try to get out of here this afternoon to possibly make it in time to get in the woods late afternoon with the bow. Tomorrow, I'm bringing out the smoke stick to extend my range a little. I think at this point I'll be happy if I whack a doe. I know I've seen some trophies this year.........mosquitoes that is!

Real nice deer Mark. I have not seen a rack that tall in quite a while. It is a shame that I have not had a chance to get out this year.

Any estimation on how old he is?

Thanks guys. He was around 3years old and around 17" wide,we have a Biologist age them at the end of the year. Matt I had 5 does come out around 5:00 and fed on some acorns about 10-15 yds away and after they left a 6 pointer and this one came out from another direction.Now the smoke pole boys can hunt.
