Well I'm thinkin of heading to the stream on Sat if the weather holds had some good reports earlier this week and I'm thinking it might be worth going. Who else is headed out in the steeples area?
I going to try and head down on Sat. afternoon and go out Wrightsville beach on Sun. morning. Weather looks ok so far. This will the first beach trip since May
Will report back on Monday.

I'm planning on an offshore trip out of Beaufort inlet, but the offshore forcast is starting to look real iffy ... I guess I'll head out until it gets too rough and decide wether to turn around and flounder fish or hit the closer hard bottoms....
Looks like the peirs have been doing good on the kings! If it too bad I will stay in close and try around the inlets and live bottoms. Saw a post that said Johns Creek was loaded with nets. It makes it hard to fish when you are trying not to get caught. O well we will see!

We hoped to run out and troll/bottom fish cripple rock area...but with the forcast it looks like D buoy/Chrismas/Honeymoon Rock areas. Kings are being caught in real close so at least there ought to be fish if we have to stay in nearshore. Greg
Its like a washing machine today,, can only fish comfortably close in at south facing beaches. I'm going to do the blues festival at Fort Fisher instead of getting beat up.

I think I am going to just hang tight around the Neuse and enjoy the Mumfest in New Bern. I am sure there will be plenty of boats around. They are suppose to have a in water boat show if anyone is looking. Boats Unlimited in New Bern will(already has) have a 2895 Triton w/ twin Verado's in the water. If you purchase it make sure you tell them I sent ya
We went out Masonboro Inlet this morning around 7:00 and messed around for a few minutes. Finally decided that with the wind and swells (not to mention the chill), it wasn't worth it. We will try again tomorrow!
