Fished out of Oregon Inlet with Sawfish--in his boat.

Friday: NW Places and parts nearby, one 17lb dolphin, one itsy-bitsy sail (36") that got off after three minutes, two ??? that never slowed down.
Saw a HUGE marlin leap clear out of the water twice chasin' somethin' t' eat. Yes, it was a marlin in the 500lb range.

Sat: Atlas Tanker and vicinity, saw one king caught. Caught an octopus (about 8" tentacles)--really cool. Lost a 30lb barracuda. A few reef fish.

Sun: R14 and vicinity, one 10lb dolphin, three kings (6 or 7lb range), lost lots of baits chopped in half, various bottom dwellers including triggers.

A fun weekend.

He has one of the new 36 boats as seen in the April issue of Saltwater Sportsman that has 6 300 hp engines & 50 rod holders (top end 110 mhp). He can make the trip down in a hour & a 15 minute & the trip back in 1 hour 30 minutes (winds/sea state). Tongue in cheek.

U must of seen the picture of the sunset coming back from BR. I just love to fish in the fall the sky's are spectacular.... That's where I keep them most of the time. Easy to get to. R u going out this weekend?

I beleive Im going to head to my dads this weekend. He lives on the Chowan River. I beleive we will take a run on his boat toward the sound and do a little fishing> Not quite sure yet!

I meant Barden's Inlet at Cape Lookout. We were fishing out of Harker's Island Fishing Center.

My bad.
