Default Topsail vacation

Depending on what happens with Jeanne, i plan on renting my friends' house at Topsail Beach for a week or so starting Wednesday (9/29). Its just going to be me and the dog for the whole time, but some friends will drop in if weather is OK. If any of y'all are in that neighborhood and want to team up for some offshore action let me know. I'll be staying on Boryk Ave. with a Hydrasports 2250, black T-top with a Suzuki 225. Usually monitor 68.

I'll likely be in Snead's Ferry (N Topsail) that weekend fishing. What do you go by on the radio. We generally use 6 in the Topsail area....boat is the Bite Doctor. Give me a yell Fri/Sat. Is Boryk S Topsail on the sound?

Looks like Jeanne has finally pulled away and blue skies ahead! I hope to stay until 10/5!

Did you overlook the questions or just ignore them...you did say you were looking to team up with somebody going offshore if I read correctly??

Sorry i didn't get back to you in time Greg. I wasn't sure where i was going to be heading once i got down.

The kings were in close to shore around the ledges off of the pier. LOTS of boats, but some good sized fish. We couldn't jig up any bait in close so we had to head out to the 10 mi boxcars every morning and then run the bait back in. I was marking lots of fish, and they seemed to have been feeding on the top and bottom. We found a good sized pinfish in the stomach of one king.

We also tried AR368, and had 3 AJ's on at one time. I managed to get mine up to the boat - no small feat with a livebait rod as it tipped the scales over 40. We left for action closer to shore as there didn't seem to be any decent grilling fish around. AJ's are fun, but they'll wear you out in a hurry.

I'll try to get the phone # of the place i'm staying next time and post it.

Sounds good...always happy to "buddy" fish....covers a lot more spots to find the bite. We'll be fishing Fri/Sat...glad you had good luck. Greg
