Default Lake Jordan Boat Question

Hi,
There is a possibility that I will be relocated to the Apex area in the next few months. I have a 2002 Grady 28' with twin 225s that I hate to part with. I have a few options: sell the boat and get something more appropriate for the lake, move it to the coast (2 hr. drive doesn't excite me) or drop in lake Jordan. Would this boat be too much of a stretch for the lake in your opinion? I'd use 50/50 fishing and cruising with the family.

Thanks for any input.

It would gather a few odd looks for being LARGER than the average

Every once in a while you see someone probably testing their Ciggie boat or blue water boat on Jordan.

Yeaaaa, it would be a might large for Jordan. HOT SPOT would be a better judge than I though.

Yeah, a little large, but she is yours !!

Check with the guys at Crosswoinds Marina.

That is certainly a great boat and I for one, would not part with her, but a man's gotta do......

Send me a PM for more info.

I'd keep it! ( I assume you have a trailer and suitable tow vehicle)

OK, it's a bit larger than what you normally find on Jordan (or Falls) but as long as you can get it in and out of the ramps (and you can), so what?

That is the nice part about having a trailerable SW capable fisher/cruiser - the offshore capability is there, but you don't HAVE to go all the way to the coast to enjoy the water.

First off, Apex is close to Jordan, which is good for driving time. However, I recommend that you try Kerr Lake and see how you like it.

Kerr is about an hour and a half from you and is a much bigger lake. All the same fish are there for the taking.

Kerr is a lot less crowded, it's prettier and the water is cleaner.

Just my 2 cents worth.
