Around Cape Fear, these ferries run wide open....... 25 mph +. I think if I was on the ferry, I would have gotten whip lash and started looking for a boat upgrade.....

It looks like the ferry had just left the dock (app 10 minutes) and the yacht crossed in front of the ferry. Impact appears to be to the port side of the yacht. Looks like the yacht crossed at almost a 90 degree angle.
If the ferry actully was the one hitting the other boat, which it sort of looks like, then I would have to say the ferry is at fault. Prolly many circumstances that could change that.
