Point Runner, one of the many good charters out of Oregon Inlet. Check out their web site.

The Pelican is my top choice. Always puts people on fish and is also a contender/winner in many tournaments. Captain Arch Bracher at the helm. http://www.oregon-inlet.com/search/D...t_id=145233663

My brother-in-law is down there now with the family -- sadly no fishing. But he stopped by OI yesterday and seems there's a nice bite on.

I have used 2 fine boats over the years.* Fished with Sam Stokes on Fight-N-Lady off and on for about 10 years.* More recently have been with Kenny Sexton on Skiligal, especially winter rockfish.* Web addresses are http://www.fight-n-lady.com/*and http://www.skiligal.com/.* I would recommend either as good bets for a quality trip.

Other boats that tend to always do well are Capt. BC and Carolinean.*

With the NE winds starting up, the white marlin should be hot and heavy within the next few weeks.

My brother-in-law is on my s*hit list. He called last night and said they decided to book a charter at OI (must have gotten a nice kitchen pass from the wives). They went out on the Skilgal b/c Pelican was booked. They got 3 white marlin, wahoo and 7-8 mahi.

Been a while, but I was on a charter on the Carolinian a few years ago and the boat was fantastic. Spotless boat, great fishing, superb (legendary?) Captain.. just a great experience.

Ditto on the 'Carolinian'. Capt. Tony Tillet does a great job.

Pirate's Cove is "up a bit" from Oregon Inlet and has many fine charter boats . . . its an extra 15 minute run when compared to Oregon Inlet . . .

Most of the boats down there are very good, I usually fish with Capt. Tony on the Carolinian and have had very good trips. Seems like the billfish are biting better out of Hatteras the last few days.

I've fished with Dick Harris for over 20 years out of Oregan Inlet and never came home empty handed. Not sure the boat he's on now, use to be Fintastic.

I have his home phone # at work, I'll email you first of next week.

UNCFISH,
I forgot to send you the number for Dick Harris out of Oregan Inlet. He's a great charter captain. 252-441-4151.
