$360 for 25000lbs
I think now there is a different charge for having a 3500 dully than a 2500.
Cost as much as your basic telephone service does now per month but we pay to play.
As bad as we hate to buy them, its cheeper than getting caught as of July.

Now if our legislators could just figure out why they are in the top 10 in the nation in total taxes and still manage to have a $4 billion deficit
At least in Raleigh all those elitist keep the roads up. Come down to Pitt County. Looks like we have been carpet bombed.
I think they are tryng to see if they can out do Washington.

They really don't do anything for Charlotte and I would bet that on an average we pay more taxes than anyone else in the state.
Back to the weighted tag, it cost almost as much as a month of dry stack lease. I paid $320 last year if I am not mistaken.
LOL....I agree on the Raleigh comments....I have lived in NC my whole life....lived 9 years in Charlotte and Now live in Holly Springs (spend most of my time in Raleigh and RTP)...the highways in general in Raleigh are WAY better than Charlotte....and the traffic/planning are way better....what they call rush hour traffic in Raleigh is what we got on Saturdays in Charlotte....and this is not an exaggeration....
Regarding the tag...yeah, I think it is well known that if you own a boat you have money that you are willing to dispose of...everyone wants their little piece...
Comeon down to the Fayetteville area if you want to see a lousy road system. Takes me 40 minutes to get to I95 from my house and only 45 minutes to get to Raleigh from there. I think Fayetteville is the only decent size city in NC Without a completed loop around the city. Really sucks. They have started one but I will be dead before they finish it!!!
im a little confussed here , is the weighted tag for the tow vehical or the trailer, next what if your from out of state, ,, also must you stop at weigh stations with boat trailers..

1.Yes the weighted tag must be for more than the total gvw you are towing, truck and trailer.
2.You must always be legal in every state you run it.
3. As long as you are not permited, meaning over 10 foot wide with a permit to be on that states highway no. If you have a permit for over 10 foot yes you must pull in weight stations.
9000 total gvw is the cut off. After that you must get a weighted tag or they can get you. You guys came up with this SUV don't have to have them. One call to DMV will make sure but I have never heard of that and wonder on the side of the road if that would fly. Does not apply to me so never checked but if your enjoying it now, have faith, it won't be long. LOL

Charlotte's own fault. Raleigh has tried to help. Remember highway 51 mess? Years ago, Raleigh tried to fix....Charlotte had their "own way"....lost funding. More recently, Charlotte libturd leaders re-directed funds from Raleigh (and turned down more) to build a trolly (WTF?) that serves maybe 2% of commuters.
