Be careful not to cheet

, they will come and audit your gas tickets

. I have been audited once 3 years ago and have got someone coming in jan to check my ticket for 2007 and 2008

. So be careful when adding your gallons. Governor Bev will check you out.

Thanks for the reminder. I have seen some earlier discussion on this and had a question. Is this for recreational boaters or mainly commercial boats? If I read the instructions correctly, I would be filling out these forms for a total of 11 1/2 cents on the gallon. Did I figure this correctly? And since I didnt keep receipts, I'm kinda screwed unitl next year, correct?

Its for both rec. and commercial. The rec. does get less back tho, as sales tax apply. I also got audited a few years ago and that was when you actually had to send in your gas receipts....The state DOR sent 3 guys in suits to actuaally go to the marinas, gas stations, etc. to see if they could verify each purchase. Me thinks we may have too many DOR agents on the state payroll....No way they could have disputed any of the receipts, but it took 3 agents a full week to do the audit!

is it to late to file for 07-08, mainly 08 and can someone tell me which form to use for a private boat.

GAS-1201 - same form rec. or commercial. Don't know if you can file for '07 and '08, but I think you can with possibly some sort of penalty. Check the states website, read the instructions for GAS-1201 Individuals.
