Thumbs up All's well that ends well: Hill Tire Ceneters

On Saturday, Dec 12 I was travelling to Fla. from western Carolina and the water pump on my truck began failing along I-95. I made one stop to see about getting it repaired and of course with it being Saturday I was limited in my options. I was referred to a repair place and they had me in/out and on the road within 1.5 hours at a reasonable price. My hat's off to Hill Tire Centers, Walterboro South Carolina. 843-549-5313. The staff there did a great job, were courteous and very timely in the repair, which allowed me to get back on the road and arrive at my destination. Just wanted to post a story that turned out well.

We need mare places like that. I think with the economy the way it is you would see more of that (to try and get more business) but it happens far to little. i was quoted tires at a place and when I went to get them they tacked on $100 shipping. I left and ordered the tires from Sears and was pleased with the price and no shipping charge.

Default Funny story

Good people and hard working folks in that area.
Moved from Lake Waccamaw NC after 20 years and the people down there wanted your business. Saterday, Sunday you need help, make a phone call and they would ask what time they needed to be there.
Moved up here to Elizabeth City, stones throw from VA and totally different world.
Still living on the yacht in New Bern and was to met the carpet guy on saterday at 9 am here in Nixonton NC at the house I bought. Drove 126 miles one way to get here and he never showed. Monday they were so sorry but we planned it for the following saterday NO SHOW again. Finially on the third saterday the guy showed up. They came the following week and installed the carpet and I wrote the check minus my expences for the driving fuel and time. Talk about mad. About 900 less than the total. I don't come cheep. LOL Threatened court, ect, ect. Never heard another word.
There still good people out there. Just harder and harder to weed through the fly by nights or want to be's that make it tough to trust the rest.

Was a kind though to post what you did.

These folks are still out there. We just have to look harder for them these days. A bit of good luck always helps, too.
