Was thinking about going to Rudee inlet to catch some early stripers. Any suggestions on lodging that is safe to park the boat. Never been up there so any do/don'ts are also appreciated. Usually catchem out of Oregon inlet but am ready to go. Thanks guys

If you go before the 12-31 you are better off going out of Lynnhaven or Little Creek and fishing the Bay. The Bay season closes 12-31 and effective 1-1 the only fishing is in the ocean.

Can't help with the lodging but I will say that even with the bay closed after 31 December your still better off launching from Lynnhaven. The Rudee (Owl's Creek) ramp is insane during striper season. Beat the madness and launch from Lynnhaven. Another 30 minutes of run time but you never know where the fish will be.

I would recommend "Pocher". The capt is Devon. He is one of the best for stripers. He runs out of Oregon inlet in the spring and summer. Then moves up to Rudee for the fall and winter.
