I have Chips number if you cant find it. He's top notch and I've used him for last 3 boats. He will also come to your boat so you dont have to drag it all over town.

Chip is who I had always used and now use again after trying William once 2 years ago on my bolsters

King obviously had a much better experience than the two friends that I referred to William. He did a good job for me, but was unreliable for one and did shoddy work on the other.

You can reach Chip at 843-696-5627. Chip just made a full cover for a friends new 31 Contender and had it completed in 4 days. He is very reliable and I have been using him for over 10 years

There were a lot of things "behind the scenes" that people were not aware of... including myself. I worked for a guy at the time, up until March 15th, 2008, when I finally walked out on him. He was the problem.... which is why he "hired" me to come in and fix his business... he did most of the work in the shop, while I was the "front man". When he ended up oweing me over $4,000 in "commission" work that I had lined up for him, or done, and didnt pay me, I left, and started my own company. The work on your boat was done by him... I was just the front man. I learned from Ted, the other man in the shop, who had been doing boat canvas/upholstery for over 20 years, who left about 6 months before I did for the same reasons.

I highly suggest anyone who had problems prior to the summer of 2008, to call me, stop by my shop, or make things known, and even though those problems were not my fault directly, I will stand by, because I was involved... just to save face and show what true pride we have in our work, and reputation. Since then, I can guarantee there is no one with an invoice/contract from Boat Bright, dated after March 15th, 2008, who has been unhappy... and it will continue to be that way.

Not trying to start anything I am just curios. Did you quit working for the guy an open a business in the same name? I am not familiar with your work or situation but we have looked for upholsters in this area so I have been paying attention to this thread. I was reading your reply and noticed in the last paragraph that no one who has an invoice after March 15th, 2008 is unhappy, so how could they have an invoive pre-march 08 if you started a seperate business in march 08 when you left. Just trying to figure out which business to look out for, is Boat Bright your business or the person you used to work for?
