Yeah Mark, it sure seems like a repeat of last year .
I certainly hope it changes for the fall fishing season.....if not sooner.

You guys aren't kidding. I was sitting on the deck Saturday night and the wind absolutely fell out. Started thinking maybe Sunday would be nice. Got up Sunday morning and was greeted by a stiff breeze yet again. Oh well, what can you do?

Wind sucks.. All it does is blow down here all day long. I sat on the dock Sat and Sun and watched my windsock stand straight out. If you don't believe in changing weather patterns over the years just start fishing. 10-12 yrs ago we would get a huge Bermuda High move in and sit on us for weeks at a time. It would be so slick the surface looked like glass. We just don't get those type days like we use to.

Misconduct,
Thats exactly what Ive been thinking 10-20 years ago we could run out every weekend and our concern wasnt the wind, it was running around an occasional thunder boomer. Now days its the wind you try to work around!!

Well, um, ... that would probably be my fault.

10 - 20 years ago i was _heavilly_ into windsurfing. I finally got tired of driving all the way to the beach from Raleigh, only to find that the wind had died. So i go buy an offshore fishing boat. Of course, now i have the same problem in reverse. Happened to me just a couple of days ago. I wish there was a meteorologist that really knew how to forecast the wind accurately.

Guess what the weekend is calling for WIND. Looks like they are saying it is going to blow SAT and SUN again. I guess I need a bigger boat?. Maybe take up golf or something else. I think the entire weather pattern has changed over the years and seems to be stuck in this cycle of front after front coming across the country. Any weather people out there feel free to comment, I sure would like to know what has happend to the weather.

I will say this though, we had a pretty forgiving spring for getting offshore. It was better than the past couple years.

Mark

Last year we had 6 straight weekends that it blew us out, only were able to get offshore during the week. Now this year I am too busy to fish during the week and we've keep having windy weekends Can't seem to get it right.

Definitely been windy. No fun running and fishing snotty, choppy seas.

I'm taking the Hobie to the lake this weekend. At least that way, I can enjoy the wind
