Default Full moon?

Is it just me or does the bite slow down during full moon. I never seem to do well during the full moon. I usually do not even bother fishing during those times.

In my experience, the full moon bite offshore is very late in the afternoon. My theory is if it is a clear night the fish feed all night instead of first thing in the morning. Also take a look at the solunar tables with a full moon. The bite time is usually in the late afternoon and it is not usually a good day in terms of ratings.

Same here! We've never had much success on fishing the full moon. Always have heard and followed the same thing of the fish do eat at dusk to pre-dawn on the full moon. The later afternoon bite usually picks up though, guessing that they're ready to feed again.

Full moon fishing is always slower. The fish can see and feed at night and aren't as active when the sun comes up

The bite even dries up in my pond during the full moon. But the water is cooling this time of year and the bass are probably sluggish as well. I caught one five pounder, but fished three hours and that was the one and only hit. I think I will wait a few days before I go back out offshore.~JJ~
