I will be going to Myrtle Beach in mid November. Anyone know of the best species of fish to target this time of year, inshore or offshore. I am most interested in shark fishing. Any recommendations.

I can tell you that Myrtle Beach (and maybe the entire county??) does not allow you to "target" Sharks.
If you pull in a Shark on a 3/0 hook or a top/bottom rig, no worries. But if you pull one in and have a big hook, one larger than normally used for other non-Shark species, you may get a ticket (or worse??).
It's a tourism thing.
Guess they don't want the tourists that bring money into the local economy to believe there are things out there that have teeth.
Steve,
Thanks for the information. I have contacted a few charters and they have not made any mention of that. If you were going to hire a charter do you have any recommendations? What would you target in mid November?
Mid November, depending on the tide height is still great inshore for trout and reds. Offshore I would stay with Black sea bass, which seem to be plentiful right now.

Actually, if you go up to oak island, you can "shark fish" after i think 6 o clock (check time)...which basically means they dont care what hook or bait or leader you use, and they will also allow you to chum, ive caught several 6 or 7 ft sharks off the pier, others bigger....its alot fun
