Default Stainless Steel Question

I am looking for someone who can do some modification to a stainless steel bowrail. I live in Greenville, NC. Can someone give me a recommendation for someone in the area that you have used or are familiar with that might be able to help me. Thanks.

You can't do it bubba.... SS has to be polished and passivated after it is finished.
Welds need to be completed before finishing. What exactly are you trying to do???

Default Welding SS

You might want to try Marine Fabricators on Hwy 70 east in New Bern.

In order to install a bow mounted trolling motor on my Wahoo, I have got to remove the bow rail from the front of the boat. I'd like to have the existing bow rail modified in order to keep the bow rail along the sides of the boat.

Thanks for the recommendations.

You can go to Ashleys Welding in Edenton. They did work on my SS rails this summer. They do all of Albemarle, Carolina Classic, and Regulators tops.

Call Modlins in Farmville. They are good folks and will shoot straight with you on what can and cannot be done.

I'm not sure what you are looking to have done, but it's interesting I still a Wahoo twin console 16 foot which I originally purchased back in 1989. It also had the bow rails you are referring to. My dealer cut the rail at the point where it starts to wrap around the bow and installed SS caps. The 2 forward most support brackets were removed as well. One was covered up by my trolling motor and the other by a depth finder unit I had installed.

The remaining portions of the rails are all parallel to the sides of the boat. If you didn't know it, you'd never know the boat wasn't manufactured that way.
