Info on Topsial Island

My folks are staying next week on Topsail. The wife and I plan on going the later part of the week and spend some time with them. I have never fished out of Topsail and plan on taking the boat weather permitting. We'll be fishing out of a 22' Lund set up for inshore and ICW. Any help with the area would be greatly appreciated.

This time of year lots of good fishing in the creeks off the ICWW. Reds and blues are biting well and the trout are just starting to show up. When you get there stop by East Coast Sports on the right across the bridge before the light and talk with them. They are very plugged in with what is happening in the area, what type of baits are biting and where to look. Lots of local knowledge is needed to do well. Hopefully ECS and others will share some info.
Also, depending where you are on the island, there is a Wildlife ramp in Surf City or the old Bush's Marine in South Topsail to put in.
