Default MHC fishing report

Went out yesterday..beautiful flat calm waters....Could not find any Pogies so I cruised up to AR315 to sabiki up something...nada....trolled artificial from 315 to 330...nada.....

Saw Albacore everywhere, stopped and cast one time with a Kastmaster on 8llb gear...immediately hooked up and landed about a 4 pounder...amazing how much power those things have...

When I got to 330 the water was packed full of Spanish Sardines, I managed to Sabiki up a bunch of those....Started put out a spread of big sardines and I could not keep the Albacore off...I mean seriously every time I put one out it got nailed before I could put out another line....as much as I respect the power of the Albacore...that got old fast...after 5 Albacore I ran out of day and headed for the hill....

I'm telling you....if you are in to Albacore you could not miss yesterday!

Those little footballs are pound for pound one of the sportiest fish I have ever tangled with. I hear some folks fly fish for them. That must be a blast. I caught one wednesday while trolling for kings and the little guy fought like a champion. Lots of fun......~JJ~

No doubt fly fishing for them would be a blast....you could have had your fill yesterday...the schools were not even moving fast you probably could have set up and caught a few withour running after them...
