Default The Hammer! Must be a secret place!

Ok I have a good idea where the Hammer is located, but it seems to be only the local guys know the numbers. Is anyone willing to give the numbers for the Hammer?

With the fall brawl only a day away, I bet the reports of OIFC about the Hammer being hot might be one of lesser value than the area's not being reported. Just a guess.I have a pro chart on my boat and I will look up the hammer as well. I had never heard of it until reading OIFC reports the last few days.

Lumberman, what vicinity is the "hammer". I have the chart on the boat and will look it up. Is it on the SC side or the NC side? Thanks, ~JJ~

It must be on the new profinder chart. It is not on mine I bought 3 years ago. My boat is at house at beach, and it may be on my chip I have for the GPS, just had never heard much about it until the Open. When Tres said he was going to the hammer. No I am hearing the comercial guys are fishing it a lot. According to what I am hearing it is hot spot! But the old pro finder charts don't have it listed.

Jay - sc1, AKA "Double D", was on the boat 2 days back to back when we crushed them out there.. It is just offshore of the jungle. I will send you the numbers this week end. But I can't say it is any better than the jungle. We limited out both days with the largest being mid 20's.. at the jungle we caught @ a 10lb grouper on the outside top line.. YES,the grouper was caught on a pogie on the top. Caught 2-3 decent cobia, a big black sea bass on the down rigger and a limit of kings. It was 2 of the best days I have ever had out there so far.. How bout it double D.. nuts huh?

I have fished an area offshore of the Jungle but always called it the east Jungle maybe its the same area. Between the Jungle and the Gov wreck. ~JJ~
