Calico Jacks at Harkers Island? If so I was there this summer and took a ferry ride to the lighthouse,it was a nice looking area with a nice boat ramp.

Might want to call them. We were down a month or so ago and they only had the docks against the East bulkhead for rent. They hadn't rebuilt any of the other docks. If you just want the boat ramp and parking, like concordtowing said, you'll be fine.

How is the run to the 'Drain'? Any changes since last year? Never touched last winter if I kept her planed off, even at dead low, but it was scary in a few spots. I may be stopping on my way 'farther' to the south in a few weeks.

The drain can be scary @ dead low. Be careful through there

Somewhere between Maine and the mid Keys... Still working on getting nephew to drive the truck down while I tow the boat behind the rv... If that plan comes to fruition, it will be the Chesapeake, Ocrakoke, Harkers Island, Charleston, W. Palm Beach, and then to the mid Keys, dunno where yet... If Myra knows where we can catch some fish, we will meet you there and she can show us how...

:-)

There have been plenty of Bluefins South of Chatham and on Stellwagon Bank, but few in Maine. We didn't really have a summer with all the bad weather and rain, and no baitfish. Am I Tuna fishing? Let's put it this way. I am not leaving the 130's in Maine... I don't want another long February, March and April with not much to do in the Morehead area so I am thinking of farther South. Not sure where I will end up. but plan on exploring the coast as far South as the keys this winter. Still have no answer about getting out from Calico Jacks thru the drain this year. :-) Hint hint...
