Hey guys I was out there in my 38' Intrepid w/3-300 v rods and I can attest it was indeed "snasty" I too only landed a couple small kings along w/ two nice bull mahi ( I ran a little further out where the day before a commercial guy I know caught 38.5 lb king) Ride back in was ok i got on top and came back @ 35mph and had one last go @ sherman. We too got caught in storm but thanks to new navnet w/sirrus weather was able to steer clear of lightning. My hats off to anyone in smaller CC who ventured offshore. Although we stayed dry we were difintely beat up after fishing in those conditions.

We were out at the Jungle and then to the 90's and the ride out sucked. It took me well over an hour and was amazed to see you out there. We cought a gar at the Jungle and a shark and king at the 90's. Wasn't much be got a few points. Hopefully the Brawl in two week will be better. We all learn it can be the best weather anyone has ever seem but come tournament day it will go to hell, at least it seems that way when I fish.

Last year I did not even bother, this year I thought it would be 2-4's but knew I was wrong as soon as I got to the inlet. Did you see those two waves back to back that were twice as high as everything else? Just as I got to the Jungle I saw this wall of water coming at me, it made me feel real small real fast. As I climbed to the top I could see its twin right behind it. My boat took it well, but I was getting nervous after that and was looking around to see if more of those were headed my way. I did not encounter any more that size thank god. But it kept me on my toes for a while. And the lightning storm was not much fun either.

We were in the group of boats attempting to catch bait that morning near the pier...nice boat.

Hey BigHoss what boat were you in, if you saw me you were getting a late start also. My mate over slept which put us a little behind. Although from what I heard it was pretty crazy @ the jettys at the start ( 6:30)

I was in a blue 21 ft Key West. We were at the start on time, our net thrower was experiencing some difficulties getting the net to open correctly..haha.
