Default Boat fire offshore from Beaufort Inlet?

We were fishing at the NW Places yesterday and noticed smoke way off in the distance (SSE of us). Heard on the radio that a boat was on fire. Does anyone know what happened? I hope everyone got off ok. Scary thing to happen when you're so far offshore.

I hope they are ok. Might want to check out our local station's websites for news. Maybe WITN would have a story on it.

By the time we saw the smoke, way off on the horizon, the coast guard already seemed to have everything under control. Apparently everyone had already been evacuated safely off the boat.

The coast guard seemed pretty confused about the situation regarding the name of the boat and the number of passengers.
