I gave the King to someone who had it gutted and dressed the following evening. Last Saturday he told me that the King dressed out at 38 pounds on commercial scales a day after it was caught. That means he was close to 40 pounds when I caught him. Yikes! Wished I had weighed him.

Shark Hole is located at: 33 37.628N / 78 12.346W once you are there do a lot of looking around within a quarter mile. There are lots of ledges pretty much in a line that should hold lots of sea bass and grouper. From Shallotte Inlet it is 17.7 miles out bearing 159 degrees.

Buy a ProFinder map or their Pro Chip. Both have all the locations you guys keep asking the numbers for. They're only like $22 at most marinas and bait/tackle shops.

You can catch grouper all winter but you won't be able to keep them after Dec 31st.

Yes, and I hope to hear that a couple more times before the season is over. Have you been much this year?
