whats biting near shore out of Hatteras? - The Hull Truth

wanting to go out Monday near shore since it looks like it will be laying down a bit throught the week. Will there be kings near shore or should I stick inshore and troll for spanish and blues?

You better stick inshore if the forecast holds. It is supposed to blow 25 SW and that will tear those waters up and make the inlet a nightmare!!

Weather should give you a break midweek if it holds. I'll be watch for your reports as we will be in Pirates Cove the week of the 3rd, wondering the same thing about the kings. Most king reports are further south but we are going to give em a try anyway.

so are there any spanish in the inlet or sound? Id love to get the boat out.

I have taken trips with the boys fishing the sound when we can't get out in June and July with great success. Tried once last Oct. on our tuna trip hitting the sound with no luck. I would think they would still be there. On the Oct. trip, we usually focus more on a few blues for the live well and head out to see whats eating, picking up a few spanish mixed in off the beach.
