We did a afternoon trip to the 90's and the sand sharks were a nuisance, so we decided to hit the Jungle. That turned out to be a great decision, as we approached the contour line at the northwest edge we immediately had a double knockdown. The Jungle was hot! We fished from 3:30 to 6:30 and boated six large kings in the mid twenties, with one probably near thirty We had non stop action and had another five or so fish that either broke the wire or let loose, all heavy fish. My buddy Josh and I took his younger brother Adam, who had never been offshore. His first kingfish trip will make him a mac addict. He was exited catching sand sharks until he fought his first king, a smoker in the mid twenty range.
I took some pics and will post them. I still smell like fish after two showers.
We were fishing the falling tide and the bite was still on when we headed for the hill.~JJ~
