Default Need a Car washed in Anderson tomorrow

OK I know all y'all have a dirty car or truck. Well Saturday is your lucky day!! The kids at Lakeside Middle School in Anderson are having a FREE car wash. Why you ask, well they have a classmate, a 8th grader who has been diagnosed with leukemia. So come out and those kids help their friend. What else can you do tomorrow that is that important??
Thanks Billy

I'd bring both cars and the boat for a wash if I was in the area. Nice cause.

Capt Billy, is there an address where we can send donations? Sounds like a great thing the kids are doing!

Alex is in our prayers every day, I know her parents and our daughter knows her as well.

I understand the fundraiser they had a couple of months ago went over very well and daughter said this car wash did well also.

I get updates from her caringbridge web site and seems like she is having a hard time of it right now.

I am sorry to heat that tprice. I have never met her, I am friends with one of her teachers. They have the plastic bracelets now for sale at a buck each. If any one wants some let me know, I will ship at them to you at my cost.

Just wanted to update this from a while back but I thought Alex was doing well but the past week they told them her leukemia has come back and she will now need a bone marrow transplant.

This was very devastating to her and the family, I think they had a feeling she was beating this thing

Please keep her and her family in your prayers

Sad update to this post, Alex passed away this am after her year long battle with leukemia. They had found a match for the bone marrow transplant and they were hoping to get her back in remission so they could do the transplant.

Last week she took a sudden turn for the worse and had developed e-coli infection in the blood stream. She made a short turn around but this week she took another turn for the worse and this morning passed away

Thanks for all that help and prayed for Alex in this time, very sweet girl and she will be missed by all

I just came across this thread looking for stuff about Alex. She is my wife's family. I don't know who you guys are but thanks for everything ya'll did to help out. Alex was a positive influence on so many people. Her parents could use all the prayers they can get.
