Is the inshore fishing (10 to 25 miles) in the Wilmington/Topsail area still going strong for mahi currently? Anything else being caught trolling except for kings? Any wahoo in this close to shore. Plan a trip this weekend and would like any info to make it worthwhile. I went offshore two weeks ago to 180ft and that sucked with all fish being caught inshore of that depth. No tuna of course but plenty of mah and a few wahoo and big kings. Thanks for any input. Bill
There's decent fishing off Topsail/Wrightsville/Wilmington in the range you are talking. We don't go past 23 miles (yet) and have done pretty good over the years. These were caught a few weeks ago in the 11 mile range.
