Wilmington vs MHC fishing - The Hull Truth

Guys,

I am considering moving my boat from MCH to Wilmington. I know that MHC is closer to the gulfstream...45 miles vs 65 miles roughly.

The fact of the matter is that I rarely run all the way to the stream, mostly I fish for King and Doplhin closer than 35 miles.

That being said is there much difference between the two locations purely from a fishing perspective if I stay inside the Gulf Stream anyway??

Reason I'm considering the move is largely because of the drive time and I know more people in Wilmington...

mh has better very close fishing, flounder, blues ect, both have kings at the inlets, wilm has 5-10 mile ledges but to run to the real ledges you are 20-30 miles south out of wilmington. bad weather here you come in the wb inlet with rocks on both sides mh you are open to the weather but you can always go to cape lookout

Seems every KMT outta Southport/Wilmington, there's always someone "coming from Morehead" w/a big king to weigh in. "FishMiester" absolutely ruled KMTs a few years ago, runnin up to Morehead.
