Default Memorial Weekend

The wife and I are planning on spending Saturday night either at the Cape or Shackleford Banks. Anyone else planning on coming down? Is that a shrimp I see in my beer?

I'll be heading down at noon on Friday and staying thru Monday evening late. We'll be at Atlantic Beach on the ICW side. I can almost hit the AB bridge from my dock throwing rocks (not really, but we're very close)!
Are you guys staying on the island (Shack or Cape)?

If you plan on staying on Shackleford Banks you better get there early, because it's gonna be like wal-mart the night before XMAS.

The whole family will be down from Sat. morning until Tues. evening. Probably spend a lot of time on shackie banks or just out of the breakers looking for macks.

I'll be there all weekend.......................better get over there early, it's gonna be a mad house............nuts everywhere. I'll probably head down Shackelford toward Harkers Island, seems to be less people down further past the sand bar after the rocky jetty.

Have a great weekend.

Dennis, I think we've decided to stick closer to home this weekend. If the weather stays this warm, it's going to be mighty busy down there!

Folks are right, if you are going to Shackleford, definitely get there early and head up well past the jetty. If you are going to anchor and be near the beach, watch out for that tide!

Wish you the best......if you spend the night, get a good 12-volt fan!

I didn't make it last weekend so I'll be part of the crowd on Sat & Sun. I want one of those Cobias so we will try to make the hook if it's not too rough.

If you see me "Fisher Price" 22 foot skiff, give a shout on the radio

Not real sure where we are going to drop anchor for the night yet but thanks to all for the info on what the real-estate situation will be like.

HBO: Good idea concerning the fan. I had not even thought about that. Bet I would have before the sun came up.

Seaclusion: We were in your neck of the woods last weekend. We rode to Swansboro down the ICW from Morehead to visit Cathy's brother(has a camp on the ICW)

Scott: Will give you a shout if we see you

We'll be on a 238 Coastal Wellcraft W/A 250 Johnson

If I don't get a chance to talk to any of you, have a great weekend

Dennis W,
Will be on the lookout for you. Plan to spend quite a bit of time at Shackleford, North of the Rock Jetty.

DON'T FORGET THE BUG SPRAY. They were tough 2 weekends ago after dusk.
