Yes, that ramp gets full fast. It is still not impossible as long as you are not in a big hurry. If you get there in late morning you can launch your boat and then pull up and wait for someone that would be coming in for the day and ask them for their spot. Sounds crazy but I have done it more than once and never had to wait more than 15 - 30 mins.

There is a ramp ar Caroilna Beach also. It has more than twice the parking but is another 20-30 min drive depending on traffic.
AS far as fishing I would head south to Masonboro Inlet if you put in at WB. You can drift for flounder or go out the inlet for spanish if you like. You can't miss the cut through to the inlet. There is a green can in the middle of the turn to the right not far after you pass the entrance to Bradley Creek Marina.
