I have abunch of old ledges on a loran and was wondering if there was a way to convert those #'s so i could put them in a GPS? Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks..

I can think of a few options,
1. Use this link http://www.ehow.com/how_5049664_convert-loran-gps.html

2. Go to every spot using Loran, and mark it on the GPS.... probably not worth it tho

Fire up the Loran, go into setup, and set it for Latitude/longitude mode instead of TD mode. Then look up each waypoint and write down the lat/long. Enter those in your GPS and you are done. That's the easiest and most accurate way since you still have the Loran.

If using Lat/long. mode on the Loran is problematic, the other alternative is an $85 software package named LoranGPS that will do the conversion. http://www.andren.com/index.cfm

Zack another way is to fish or run to the area on the loran then mark it on the gps you will not get the cross over errors that way sometimes when you convert the numbers they are not very close.

how is the boat coming?
