Sorry, just now got access to a computer, but I hope you did better than we did. In short, we got skunked. Then again, we didn't get out until around 1PM, but we didn't get so much as a strike.
Funny thing though, we did overhear a VHF conversation with the boat that won that big tournament out of Morehead on Saturday with a 400+ marlin. He was about 40 miles out based on the lat/lon he gave SeaTow, and he told them he was dead in the water with engine/fuel problems.
We heard him talking to tournament officials who told him they couldn't weigh his fish after 6PM. He obviously got his engines fired as we saw him on TV that night with the fish that netted him about $750K. |
