Default Fishing Out Of Sneads Ferry This Saturday

I'll be headed out with a friend who owns Swan Point Marina and was wondering if anybody's been catching anything reasonably close in around there lately. Sounds like things have been pretty slow, but maybe we'll get lucky.

We pulled in a few good dolphin around Christmas Rock a while back and will probably hit it again. Anybody have any other suggestions they'd be willing to share with a Tennessee redneck who can only fish for one day?

He has a 38TE Fountain with triple Mercs, so we've got the ability to run out a ways if conditions warrant it, but it sure does add insult to injury to burn up that much fuel without bringing home some good fish.

If all goes well, I should be out late morning. On channel 68. Aquaholic. We can compare notes at that time.

Sorry, just now got access to a computer, but I hope you did better than we did. In short, we got skunked. Then again, we didn't get out until around 1PM, but we didn't get so much as a strike.

Funny thing though, we did overhear a VHF conversation with the boat that won that big tournament out of Morehead on Saturday with a 400+ marlin. He was about 40 miles out based on the lat/lon he gave SeaTow, and he told them he was dead in the water with engine/fuel problems.

We heard him talking to tournament officials who told him they couldn't weigh his fish after 6PM. He obviously got his engines fired as we saw him on TV that night with the fish that netted him about $750K.
