I am leaving tomorrow morning to look at some beachfront properties in the Holden/Sunset Beach area and was hoping to get a little info before I leave. Is anybody in the real estate business in this area or know anybody who is? We are mainly looking at the higher end of the market but would like advice on anything in the area.

Good luck with your search....don't see much*for sale on HB nowadays,*been booming the last 2 years, heard a couple weeks ago that there were only a dozen or so*places for sale on HB...a neighbor of mine just finished building a new house and had 4 unsolicited offers on it before he could even move in...another friend moved up to Southport and sold their canal house in less than 1 day for 20% above asking....it's crazy....

Anyway, I can recommend Cecelia Weston....haven't done business with her but she and her husband are members of our fishing club, really nice people...

Contact Kelly Hewett (910 842-3911 office or 910 443-7652 cell). I am a licensed builder on Holden Beach. There are still lots left on Holden Beach. The farther south you go (Ocean Isle, Sunset) the higher the price you are going to pay for a building lot. The good thing about Holden Beach you have accessable inlets on both ends of the island.

At Holden's Beach, a great family/fishing beach, Kelly Hewett, aka martini, would be a great contact. He knows the area, has houses he can show you and can answer your boating/fishing questions.
