ANother late one. Thought I had already done this but guess not.

Name-Brian Kistler

Occupation- Corporate Safety Administrator for a large engineering, surveying, and planning firm. Manage health and safety for 200 people spread over 6 offices in NC and SC.

Status- Single . I'm 24. 2 dogs, Dalmatian named Jazz, Black Lab/Scottish terrior mix (weird combo huh?) named Jetta, and a ferret named Sebastian. Graduated in 05/2002 from ECU, Graduated 05/2004 with Masters from ECU

Hobbies-Hunting, Fishing, Building Rods, Playing with boat, helping my dad in his business doing landscaping, Volunteering for animal shelter trying to adopt out animals, and Restoring Antique furniture.

Fishing type- mainly Santee Cooper Catfishing, Carp Fishing area lakes, crappie fishing, and would love to get into Striper fishing. Anybody want to show me the ropes? I would be glad to help pay in the adventure and make new friends.

Have done a little inshore fishing while at ECU on Pamlico Sound, and Carolina Beach. Never have gone offshore much unless it was charter or a head boat. Hopefully over the years I can work myself up to a boat that can handle it and I feel comfortable.

ANyone ever need a fishing partner around here, inshore, or offshore, just ask. I would be glad to help out and be a partner in crime.

Name: Bert Gurganus

Home: Chapel Hill, N.C.

Occupation: General Contractor (residential remodeling)

Family: lovely wife and two wonderful stepdaughters (27 and 18)

Hobbies: fishing, soccer (used to play, then coached , now just enjoy watching), reading non-fiction

I've been a serious Kerr Lake striper fisherman since 1990, but I got bit by the saltwater bug in January 04 and have never looked back.
Have a friend who is mentoring me in offshore fishing and invites me along once or twice a month to join his quest for kings, mahi, and whatever other blue-water critters are biting.
Hooked a sailfish last weekend. Now that was really a gas.

I have a 19 ft SeaPro dual console that I take offshore when weather permits, but I'm looking to upgrade to an Aquasport 215 DC in the near future.
Mostly fish out of Harkers Island area but also Emerald Isle and Oak Island.

dssmith, my youngest stepdaughter is going to CofC this year, so I'll try to get up with you when I'm down that way. I'm a vet, but I promise I won't ask any medical ?'s, doc.

Hotspot, this introductory thread is a great idea!! By the way, enjoy catching those Jordan Lake stripers, but don't eat 'um. That's a nasty lake. (In case you didn't already know).

Okay, now I'm the last one.* Wish I'd seen this thread before!Charlie BrowningHarrisburg, NCI'm an electrical engineer working for a large (make that huge) consulting firm.* My focus is water and wastewater treatment facilities.* I've been married for 20 years*to a wonderful lady that homeschools our two boys, 6 and 9.* She is a registered ICU nurse and gave it all up for our kids...I love to fish, but my 3 years of experience (Dad was/is not a fisherman!)*is limited to freshwater (LMB and stripers).* I just started fishing the NFA (http://www.gonfa.com/weekly) tournaments on Lake Norman. After*shore fishing for 6 months (local ponds, Tuckertown, Badin) and losing LOTS OF CRANKBAITS, I took the plunge and bought*a used Bass Tracker 175 with a 40 hp Force (3 years ago).* Last September I managed to convince the CHIEF that we needed a bigger boat when I take the boys fishing/swimming (mainly swimming).* I now have a 2004 Triumph 191 Side Console (which, it appears, Triumph is no longer making) with a 130 hp Honda.I'm itching to take the boat to the OBX for some striper fishing, but with no experience in the OBX, I've yet to figure out how to gain some experience without killing myself or destroying*the boat (or both).* Current plan is to take the boat, hire a guide for a day, and then try to go out in my boat the next day.* Regardless of the weather/seas, I have no plans to take the boat out of the site of dry land.
