Bailey Boat,
I hear you on the naming thing. My parents never gave the hospital the name they chose for me, so it ended up on the birth certificate as Baby Boy Smith. Just call me BB!

Fish mostly Neuse River and Pamlico Sound but I do occasionally make the run through the ICW to the land of way to many boats. I do love Cape Lookout.
Sanford (moved here from Greensboro 5 years ago and love it)
Fisheries technician, doing research on freshwater mussels in the Piedmont, but that job ends August 31. Was a navy-trained electronic tech, but went to NCSU at the tender age of 40, got a BS in Fisheries. I need a Master’s to make any money. Still on the fence about going back for two more years.
Single, three dogs (one’s up for adoption) one cat
Hobbies are fishing, hunting, underwater photography. Lived in the Marshal Islands for 9 years where I learned blue water trolling and free-dive spearfishing. Bailey Boat, I used to shoot 3 gun pistol and high power rifle when I was in the Navy. Can’t afford it any more, but I still dream of getting a Model 52 Smith. I used a semi-custom 1911 Colt and a Smith 41 for 3 gun, and a semi-custom M1A for high power. Loved to shoot groundhogs, but don’t know anyone in the mountains any more.
Fishing habits- mostly flyrodding bluegill at Harris, catfish there too. Blue cats on the Cape Fear, but I don’t like to eat them from the river. Occasionally take my kayak to Writesville for flounder, red drum and the like. Worked as a tech/deck hand on red drum in the Neuse, Stripers at Norman and Badin, and American eels on the White Oak. If my brother ever get his boat in the water, I’ll be doing the Morehead City thing.
DTW, no need to apologize for Kinston- great people there! My government Bronco broke down there a couple of years ago, and the folks at Neuse River Sports, and the local Ford dealership went out of their way to help. I went to a tobacco warehouse there when I was working for an electronics firm, and they were a great bunch of people as well. I forget the name of the warehouse, but to get there you turn right at the Burger King on 70, and it’s a couple of miles down the road. I think it closed a couple of years ago? chip.

I am a fresh water striper fisherman. I fish VA, NC, and SC. I used to bass fish a lot and crappie fish, but stripers are my real love. I also enjoy inshore fishing out of Morehead.

Married almost 14 yrs, no kids
Mostly offshore fishing - 1999 32 Albemarle Express (Billin' Time) kept in Morehead City (previous boat - 2000 Albemarle 24 was named "Billable Hours")
Woldn't mind catching up with "go fish" to do some grouper/snapper fishing sometime - I also need to buy 2 Precisions to go with the 2 brand new Senator 6/0's (probably the last of the metal frame reels) that are sitting in my garage . . .
Work and building this new house don't leave me much time to go fishing - I've put about 20hrs on the boat since last fall
I'd be more than happy to put some offshore hours on your boat for you. Thought I saw your boat in the Hatteras Offshore Open. I was fishing a boat from MHC named Reel Joy. It's a 32 Albe as well. Anyhoo, just could have sworn I saw you near the fuel dock.
Nope . . . that wasn't me . . . I wish I had the time to do fish those tourneys . . .
Is Reel Joy one of the newer 32's docked at Coral Bay?
I keep mine at the condos around the corner from there.
Saw that you were considering a gas-powered Luhrs convertible - not that I am biased, but for just a little more, you may be able to get into a 32 Albemarle convertible w/diesels . . . they are not hot sellers compared to the Express (same hull, though) and there are deals waaay off the asking price to be had on those . . .
Hey Kevin,
I've been looking at everything under that big 100k. I've missed a few deals on a diesel or 2. Cant jump till I get the current "Chasin Tale" sold anyway. Sure would like a weekender/fisher for the wife and I. Heck the way it's going, I get enough invites to mate or angle, I shouldnt even buy...just money up for the tourny's.
My only gripe was at 6'2" I still couldnt see over the port bow side of the 32'albe we fished in Hatt. Kinda drawn up when I brought it thru the inlet up there at 5pm with the rest of the fleet while trying to watch for the little guys shooting in. Ahh, maybe I should've trimmed the bow down before getting in there.
My friends boat is a 2002 Albe I believe. Not sure where it's doked at the moment. He just pulled everything off of it and ordered up a new 35' Carolina Classic. Think he wants 210 for his 32' or use it in trade. Man, I cant wait to run and fish that CC35.
Jamie - the best "big" boat ALWAYS belongs to someone else!!! Your buddy can probably attest to the fact that the ownership price is one thing and the maintenance/dockage cost is another . . .
I agree on the "bow-high" ride of the 32, but Beaufort Inlet usually ins't that bad - I can usually keep the tabs down and be fine - I'm 5'6" and have to stand on the pedestal footrest to comfortably be able to see over the bow when running the inlet.
HOWEVER - if you think that's bad, wait until you get hn the CC35 - I sea trialed one and with that center helm and tabs full down, I still could not see over the bow, particularly when getting up on plane!
If you're going to get that bigger boat, I agree that the best thing to do is get the current one sold and then be in a position to jump when THE DEAL comes along. I'll let you know if I hear of anyone looking for a boat like yours and, if you give me some idea of what you're looking for, I can keep an eye out for that, too.
Well, it appears as though I am the last (someone has to be)

Work: Trained in Architecture, have been in construction all my life (Grandfather in the tile business and Father was a developer). Currently manage the construction arm of a concrete producer.
Hobbies: Cooking, working on the Albe, fishing the saltwater and various construction projects without a schedule or budget.
Boat: TomFishery a 24 Albemarle 1988 model that is a semi-project boat. It still needs a little engine fine tuning that hopefully will happen this week!
Fishing: Enjoy inshore and offshore fishing. We used to charter regularly out of Harkers in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Then I fished saltwater off and on when I could until I moved to Norfolk and was able to fish the Chesapeake most any time weather permitted. Summer for flounder, Spaniards, kings and winter for stripers. That’s when I got re-bitten by the saltwater bug. Mostly fish with my brothers, the one in Norfolk when he’s in the country and the one from Sanford when he can talk me into going!
Oh, and I belong to the Raleigh Saltwater Club as well.
