Default Newbie on the water

Hello to all out on the salty pond. I have been a freshwater plugger for over 50+ years and now looking to learn what it's like on the "BIG" pond.

Just took ownership of a 25' Grady White Sailfish that I can trailer to the "right side" of the state (since i live on the "left side")-mountains.....

Live in: Marion, NC

Job: Don't need no stinking j.o.b. (retired)

What I did: Ask my kids and they will tell you "nothing". But I was (and still am) a real estate investor.

Navy Vetern (Vietnam Era Vet). Joined in 1973, one month after the draft ended. (I wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.)

Looking to all you experts for advise and guidance before we put the boat in the water.
