Name: Woody
Location: live on Albemarle Sound (near the 32 bridge) and beach house in south Nags Head just a few miles from the inlet.
Occupation: just retired
Stats: Married. The Admiral doesn't boat, but bless her she tolerates my duck hunting, boat tinkering, and now more time for fishing.
Hobbies: just getting some hobbies again after working for 34 years and 2 children.....
Fishing habits: Albemarle Sound (West end), OI (north and south), and occasional runs to the towers or the Gulf Stream when the weather is nice and stable.

Doesn't seem to be many THT folks from my corner of the state?????? and Bryant........those are fine hobbies that you have.......but a tad out of character for a Tarheel........you can guess that I probably went to that other school......the one that had the quarterback that the whole ACC is glad to see gone! GO PACK!!!!!

Name: Hal Blackmore (Well, there goes the anonimity of a screen name)

Location: Live in Lumberton, NC boat is in Shallotte, NC where my son lives. We fish out of Southport, Holden Beach and Ocean Isle

Occupation: Sales Rep for basic manufacturer of crop protection chemicals (insecticides, herbicides and plant growth regulators) covering NC, SC, VA & WVA. Degree in Horticulture from NC State in 1974.

Stats: age 51, married past seven years to my wife Rozell (we're both retreads) 3 kids from my previous all grown and gone plus one grandson. Wife has one son from previous who will be a senior at Chapel Hill next fall). No kids together.

Hobbies: Offshore/Inshore fishing and collecting a huge arsenal of offshore lures which I can't seem to put in use often enough (work and weather keep interfering)
We are also restoring a house circa 1904 in the historic 'Springfield' section (read: slum on the mend) of Jacksonville, FL.

Fishing Habits: Rarely get to go due to work or weather conflicts (hoping to change that this year!!!) Prefer offshore and hoping to hook up with other anglers in the 'Long Bay' area to buddy up with on trips. Have occaisionally fished with Preoccupation ( a truly good guy) and have made a run or two with TwoTurnin. Mondays' and Wednesday's are good days for me to fish (my son's days off). The wife get's sea sick and the trips to Jax get in the way of some weekends.

Location: Walkertown NC

Occupation: Sr. Network Designer/Planner for the fourth largest bank in the U.S. University of Texas grad, Dual major Math/Physics. Use to co-op for NASA during the summers in the late 70’s and 80’s in Houston. That was fun!!

Hobbies: Offshore, inshore fishing off Harkers Island/Cape Lookout and Ocracoke. Spend all my saltwater time in Harkers Island and Ocracoke. I also fly-fish the tail-waters of E. Tenn and rivers of Montana. Other activities include dove hunting near Dobson NC, speckled trout fishing and striper fishing off Cape Lookout during the winter.

Fishing habits: Love the blue water and fish offshore Cape Lookout and Ocracoke as often as possible and when seas permit. Been know to live bait fish for kings and even do the fat Albert thing when things get boring, Even caught a sea mullet or two.

Have a new KenCraft 235 with a single 300 HPDI on order and should take delivery any day now. Then it’s “SHOW TIME”!

Name: Don Williford

Location: Live in Lumberton, NC Boat primarily kept at HB. 21ft Chris Craft single 200 outboard

Occupation: Government Employee Ret AF
Stats: age 48, married past 29 years to my wife. However, that appears to be ending. 2 kids, dau married and resides at Ft Campbell. My son still going to High School.

Hobbies: Woodworking, previously avid Golfer until back surgery. Took up boating and learning that as an owner. Worked with my dad growing fishing year round with him. Previous avid bowhunter while in Oscoda Mi.

Fishing Habits: Dear Abby: I don't get a chance to get out enough. Soon to be Ex absolutely hates boats and the beach and wants to make sure that I don't afford either one. (Can you detect slight bitterness?? ) I Had some really great trips last year with some real good catches. I Just installed a Kodiack LiveWell on the boat as I discovered live bait is really good way to go. I also learned to throw a 10 foot cast net. I have really been wanting to buddy up with PreOcc and Hblac to make runs to HorseShoe, Tower, Jungle and other areas but my timing hasn't been good. Plus other things have kept my atten these past few years. Son loves to fish but gets seasick--real bad. I took a video of my OBX fishing charter a couple weeks ago and it was a little rough. He watched the video and almost got seasick. No kidding. He had to go lie down. I can't believe it....lol I'm pretty handy at most things and don't mind helping out. 16 years repairing and calibrating electronics in AF, plus a stint as industrial electrician. God willing, I'll have at least one fishing trip this year as my tank is full and I'm ready to roll.

Man, leave for a few days of bluegrass at Merlefest and come back to our own section on THT!

Hotspot, count me in for the shrimp boil! I can bring groceries, supplies, equipment, and a healthy appetite!

Name: Doug Smith

Location: Raleigh and Emerald Isle, but bought a lot in Beaufort, where I hope to build in a few years.

Occupation: 27 years selling computers to doctors. But not much longer! I figured it out, and if we cut our standard of living in half, I can retire in 43 more years!

Hobbies: Fishing, reading, fishing, tivo-ing shows I never watch, did I say fishing? Mostly I've done inshore, but I just gota Parker six months ago, and I'm learning the joys of offshore.

Stats: Married to LeGrande for 16 wonderful years, and 6 so-so ones. Two kids. Jacobi is 14 going on 21, and Maggie is 10 going on 3. Jacobi is a fine first mate, fishing companion, and joy of my life. Maggie is daddies little girl. I'm saving the rules for dating my daughter, posted elsewhere on the board.

Looking forward to meeting all the great Carolinas THT'ers and fishing together.
