Default Holden Beach

Haven't been in a while, normally this time of year, the Frying Pan Tower area is still producing small kings, bottom fish is good. South of the tower is normally good as well. Check the Ocean Isle Fishing Center web site for updated reports. They post some good reports.

I would go to the Tower area if you are going out of Holden. Lots of good bottom sw of the tower for bottom fishing. The kings are around that area too.

3/31/09 Quick report From Stand N Down Charters out of Holden Beach NC - Headed to the Black Jack a little offshore, lines in 7:45, first fish at 7:50 a 15lbs Balckfin. Then a AJ about 60lbs,, followed by a 51lbs WAHOO, then another Hoo around mid 30's. Then a Mahi-Mahi about 12lbs and a Blackfin about 10lbs.Then a Mahi-Mahi about 10lbs. Lots of AJ.Then we started jigging around 1300 got some nice Black Bass Bonito. Beautiful water and weather. I will post pics Tomorrow. A little bumpy coming back in. Good time had by all!
