On the 20th of this month I will be trailering to Wilmington from Jax FL and looking for a ramp with storage for my tow vehicle and trailer. I plan to put in in Wilmington and slow cruise up to Oriental NC visiting areas along the way. I'm considering using Carolina Beach State Park ramp I understand they have a small Marina facility for overnighters? Can anyone make any other suggestions or comments about CB State Park or perhaps other facilities? thanks

You might want to call the state park marina to see if they are open. I remember reading that they were going to redo the marina and it would be closed for a few months. Their phone number is 910-458-7770. If no one answers, the number for the state park visitors center is 910-458-8206.

Thanks for the heads up Robsride, you are correct they are closing Oct 1st. I should be back by then but I'm still looking for other options.
