I use to supply them, when they had their Carry-out, the resturant buys junk from guys that have left over crabs that they can't sell up and down the road..... Hell, they even import there softcrabs from La. Via Veitnam... Enjoy your "fresh" seafood there

I never bought crabs, I used to commercial fish for them.

I realize this is retail vs the dock price, but 80 bucks per bushel is not something I thought I'd ever dream of, never mind see in my lifetime.

As for pricing outboards, no I have not done that. I run an inboard and would never consider an outboard on my primary vessel again. Thanks for asking though

I live in Charleston and know what the prices are there. I am working on a project on Maryland Eastern Shore and they have no crabs here at all. Talked wiyh some of the local resturant folks here and they are buying from the Carolinas. I am surprised the price is not higher.

Yep. We have plenty of pots and with the scarcity of Blue Crabs available at market I'm going to get my recreationsl gear license and start catching my own again.

BTW, did I ever tell y'all how much I like Blue Crabs?

The #1's are more meaty or heavier.. when the crabs shed or molt, they are light for a few weeks. These are the #2's when they harden up and get more meaty they are #1's...Hope this helps
