Default Swan Quarter to Ocock

Can I run a straight shot from Swan Quarter to Ocrcacoke or are there shallow shoals to go around. I would be running a 19' shallow running boat.

It's an easy run from SQ to Ocracoke. When I did it last year I launched at Clarks Marina (tiny & old, but sufficient) From there you follow the channel out to the sound & just catch the ferry channel & follow it all the way. Just watch the weather-Pamlico sound can kick up & get pretty nasty pretty quick.

Have a few extra days if you need them. The pamlico can be hard on a 19ft. boat. 3-4 with a short period and a bad wind chop.

Tom, always right on the money, as usual. You've got to be the most helpful guy on any of the boating internet forums! Thanks for all you do to help boaters.
