Default relocating(I am a carolina kid 37 year old one)

Gents I don't post allot on this forum because I think the best learner is the best listener..I ve been soaking up all the crazy stories and knowledge you have been putting out for the past year. Once I have something to say I will put it out ,it will probably be what not to do..,

My question is im thinking about relocating the family to Maysville just north of Jacksonville, NC or somewhere in that area. I need help on a good location not only housing but I have two girls in school. I would like to have a place on the inter costal waterway but I don't have the big bucks. looking around 250 to 300 range it can be cheaper. I am a redneck and my daughters drive my CC boat, love to fish and deer hunt. What im getting at looking for the best all around place to live in that area easy access to beaches and boating and any good relators..By the way

Look from Snead's Ferry to Sawansboro as far as on the water. You will likely be able to find waterfront on a canal or access creek in that range. We rednecks fit in good around those areas.....still laid back fishing communities. There is some real good inshore fishing from Swansboro to Sneads Ferry and the ocean fishing is good here, too. I do all my hunting at home but we see plenty of deer down here......not sizable but plentiful. Good luck in the search

Good luck there nthere. I would personally think something in theat price range would be awfully hard to come by. But if I run across anything I will let you know.

If your daughters are of school age I would not reccomend Maysville. There are a lota nices folks up that way but Jones County has one of the worse school systems in the state. In your price range you shoild be able to afford someting just down the road in Stella. That would put you in Carteret County and the Croatan High School system which is one of the best schools in the state.

Dito what fishin' guy said about the schools. Croatan High is one of the best schools in the state. ... plenty of nice housing in that price range in the Cape Carteret area.

Thanks fellas for the feed back. My girls are in school and that is what I needed to hear.. Good schools. I have been looking in Stella I think that is where I might end up at. I was going to pay more for a house if it meant getting in to a good school district but I did not want to so I could play more on the water..Thanks again for the help..Im still on the hunt for a good deal...in no hurry to buy

I have a friend that is selling a house on the Bay river in pamlico co. Good deal 2000 sq ft 10 yrs old. Could probably be had for your price range. PM me if you want more info.

Also, try Fairfield Harbor in New Bern. Best deals in waterfront RE anywhere. Do not use Neuse Realty as they jack up the prices
