Billfisher34, Exactly what does this license entitle you to do fishing wise? Does it allow you to sell your rec. baglimit of fed. regulated species like gr/sn and shark? And, if you want to sell over rec. bag limits do you also have to have the fed. req. permits as well? I have a friend in N.C. whom may be int. but he asked me to find out just what this permit is good for

I would love to see a link to the sales tax exemption for commercial fishermen. In my own business, and most that I am familiar with, the only items that you don't pay ST on are the items that you are going to re-sell and collect the ST on for the state. When Sam's Club first opened it seemed like I was always behind someone who wanted to argue with the cashier that because they were paying with a business check, they didn't have to pay sales tax on anything for their business.

I am buying my license before I buy my new boat and the sales tax is gone!! $$1500.00 backed out for the sales tax.. Plus, get to catch my daily limit and sell the fish, then write off the trip as a business expense.... No brainer... and 2500.00 is a great deal. Like land, they don't make anymore...
Sometimes it effects warranty, ie not for commercial use....if you buy an engine and decide to exercise your tax free option, then you get 1 year commercial warranty.
