Default Oregon Inlet stripers on January 6th

Left out of OI around 5:30 for the Virginia, NC border. Hit the border a lot of boats and no bait marks or fish. So worked my way south. Got about a mile north of the Duck research pier where a few birds were diving. A lot of bait and then the striper mark showed up and it was big. All of a sudden three rods went down, hit the MOB and put the boat in a circle and for the next two and a half hours just wore out stripers between 25 and 35 pounds. Then we had no choice but to head to the dock and we left them still biting. We just landed one and we decided that was enough fun for the day.
