Check www.charlestonfishing.com and look on their saltwater forums. They have lots of guys there that fish Winyah and can tell you just about everything you need to know.

Dale,
You're likely to catch trout and possibly some redfish. I've had the best luck fishing around the oyster banks that are in the middle of the bay. I've also had pretty good luck fishing the banks of the ICW south of the bay. That time of year I typically use grubs/DOA shrimp and fish them pretty slow. This is some fairly generic information. I hope this is what you were looking for. Good luck.

I usually cut through Winyah and go over to North Inlet. There are a ton of oyster bars that make for great fishing, but also dangerous navigation.

Cast on either side of the oyster bars depending on incoming or outgoing tides. The trout and redfish like to stack up there and ambush the bait as it's pushed onto the bar.

As mentioned before, use gulp shrimp and minnows or a popping cork rigged with a DOA shrimp.

If you can find some live bait, rig it Carolina style and fish away.

Good Luck
